About the Evidence Lookup
The catalogue associates approaches with clinical topics; an association alone does not establish treatment efficacy. A condition-specific assessment must identify the population, findings, review date and supporting sources before an evidence label appears. Evidence for a different condition is never substituted.
Source checks awaiting assessment are distinguished from entries still awaiting source review. “Guideline evidence inconclusive” records that a named guideline could not recommend for or against an intervention for the stated question; it does not mean ineffective. “Randomized studies” describes a study design; the findings and comparator still matter, including null results. Frameworks are listed separately because a treatment evidence tier does not apply.
This tool is designed for clinicians comparing treatment options for a specific presenting problem, students learning to read the evidence landscape, and supervisors discussing evidence-informed practice. All 22 conditions in the dataset are available, from depression and anxiety to grief, psychosis, and existential concerns.
