Knowledge Graph
151 modalities mapped by their connections. Node size reflects how connected each modality is — larger nodes have more relationships. Toggle "Heat map" to color by connection density. Drag to explore. Click a node to visit its page.
About the Knowledge Graph
This interactive visualization maps the relationships between all 151 therapeutic modalities in the Epoché Clinical dataset. Nodes represent modalities, colored by their clinical tradition. Connections show paired relationships — shared lineage, theoretical influence, or direct derivation — so you can see how approaches cluster and where traditions cross-pollinate. The graph renders using D3 force-directed layout; you can drag nodes, zoom, and filter by tradition.
The heat map mode sizes each node by its connection count, revealing which modalities serve as hubs in the broader network of psychotherapy. CBT, psychoanalysis, and EMDR typically appear as high-connection nodes given their influence across multiple traditions. Isolated nodes indicate approaches with fewer documented relationships to other modalities in the dataset, which may reflect genuine theoretical independence or simply gaps in the current data.
Built for therapists, counseling students, and educators exploring how therapeutic traditions relate historically and conceptually. The graph complements the lineage pages, which trace these relationships in narrative form.
